We’re so excited to share another milestone on our journey to bring the
Quartz Cabin to life here at Stone City! The foundation frame is now securely attached to the piers, and temporary decking is in place. Step by step, the vision of this six-sided, timber-framed retreat is becoming reality.
This week, our crew will begin
raising the timber frame—always one of the most thrilling parts of a build. Soon the graceful hexagonal shape, inspired by a quartz crystal, will start to rise from the forest floor.
Built within a natural circle of granite boulders and ancient yellow birch trees, the Quartz Cabin will feature recycled windows on all sides, a living roof, and full accessibility. It’s already looking like it belongs here, and it’s only going to get more beautiful.
